Ann Barry Hanneman, a shareholder in the Labor and Employment Section of Milwaukee-based law firm von Briesen & Roper, s.c., was recently elected president of the board of directors of the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin. Hanneman will serve as president of the IBAW board for 2021-22. She has been a board member since 2008. “There has not been a more exciting time for IBAW,” she said. “More than ever, IBAW is poised to meet the challenges facing businesses today. “Throughout the (COVID-19) pandemic, IBAW served and supported the business community in significant ways, including building strategic partnerships to advocate for the interests of Wisconsin businesses, delivering high quality programs that strengthen and support the development of businesses and business leaders, and providing top-notch networking opportunities,” said Hanneman. “This coming year, we continue that support for our members and our business community, including our Manufacturing Summit, celebrating the ‘Optimism in Manufacturing’ featuring four top Wisconsin leaders, and our 7th Annual Clay Shoot at the Waukesha Gun Club. “IBAW remains committed to its mission to advance business prosperity through insightful programming, executive networking and member-driven public policy and advocacy. Under our board’s leadership this year, IBAW will continue to inspire business leaders to make our business community one we all can be proud of and to work collaboratively to meet the challenges facing businesses now, and in the future,” she said.
