Funds allocated for new state crime lab planned in Wauwatosa
Gov. Tony Evers on Tuesday announced a portion of the State Building Commission’s approval of $306 million in funds for projects will go toward creating a new state crime lab in Wauwatosa, replacing the current facility in Milwaukee.

Plans are moving forward to close two youth correctional facilities in Wisconsin and replace them with a new facility that will be built in Milwaukee. On Tuesday, Gov. Tony Evers announced a new juvenile prison is pegged to be built on Milwaukee’s northwest side at 7930 W. Clinton Ave.
