Poblocki may build new HQ at former DMV

West Allis-based Poblocki Paving Corp. has purchased the 7,000-square-foot former Department of Motor Vehicles building on a 3.1-acre site at 423 S. Curtis Road, which is located near its existing headquarters at 525 S. 116th St. Poblocki plans to use the property for equipment storage and repairs and may build a two-story, 9,000-square-foot office space addition for its new corporate headquarters. The total cost of the project is estimated at $1.2 million.

40-acre New Berlin development site for sale

A 40-acre site southeast of South Moorland Road and West Grange Avenue, just south of the I-43/Moorland Road interchange, is for sale.

Brookfield Trader Joe’s building sold for $4.78 million

The 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe’s store building in Brookfield has been sold to a California-based private investment firm for $4,782,609, or $382.61 per square foot, according to Northbrook, Ill.-based The Boulder Group, which brokered the deal for the seller.

Trampoline park planned in New Berlin

Steve Steidl, the executive director of KHS USA Inc. in Waukesha, plans to open a trampoline park in the speculative industrial building that Zilber Property Group is building in New Berlin.

Downtown office building may be converted to apartments

Kenosha-based Bear Development LLC plans to spend about $5 million to convert a 57,626-square-foot office building at 700 W. Michigan St. in downtown Milwaukee into an apartment building, said S.R. Mills, president of Bear Development.

Phelan Development and WiRED Properties have proposed a four-story building with 36 apartments, underground parking, 6,628 square feet of retail space and 10,600 square feet of salon space for Cody & Co. at a former fire station site at 1463 Underwood Ave., in the downtown village area of Wauwatosa.
