Couture developer lets HUD loan application deadline expire, still working on project financing

The developer of The Couture project on the downtown Milwaukee lakefront said it will not meet its deadline to submit a final application for a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development loan guarantee, but is still working to secure its final piece of financing needed to move forward with the project.

The southeastern Wisconsin industrial real estate market performed well during the second quarter, according to the latest market data from the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin and REDIComps Research and Catylist.

Statewide home sales declined sharply last month

Sales of existing homes in the state as a whole and its southeastern region decreased sharply in June while prices continued rising well above the rate of inflation, according to the most recent report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
