MMAC testifies on behalf of mining bill
The positive economic impact of opening Wisconsin’s iron range to mining would be felt in a substantial way in Milwaukee, according to testimony before the state Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economy and Small Business by Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) president Tim Sheehy.
Joy Global caps a strong year
Milwaukee-based Joy Global Inc. today reported fourth quarter net income of $172.3 million, or $1.61 per share, up from $146.3 million, or $1.39 per share, in the same period a year ago.
Jason tests products with robotic cell lab
Jason Finishing Group, a subsidiary of Milwaukee-based seating, acoustics, components and finishing manufacturer Jason Inc., has installed robotic cell laboratories at its Burgwald, Germany and Richmond, Indiana locations to test the lifespan of its products and product design modifications.
BizTimes Around Town: Kohl’s gives gifts to children at Penfield
Kohl's associates recently delivered approximately 500 wrapped holiday gifts for children enrolled at Penfield Children's Center. The gifts were donated by Kohl's associates and handed out at Penfield Children Center's annual holiday party held on Saturday, Dec. 10. In addition to the gifts, Kohl’s presented Penfield with a check donation for $25,000.
