Lake Lawn Resort reopens
Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan reopened its hotel rooms on Friday. The 283-room resort closed last year after it was taken over by a consortium of banks led, by Madison-based AnchorBank, which foreclosed on the property. It was sold earlier this year to an investors group led by Jim Drescher, who has worked to reopen the resort. Friday marked the reopening of guest rooms, fitness center, gift shops and Frontier Restaurant. The golf course opened previously.
Downtown Courtyard by Marriott completes lobby renovations
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel at 300 W. Michigan St. in downtown Milwaukee recently completed a renovation of its lobby. “We redefined the Courtyard lobby so it invites guests to get out of their rooms to work, socialize or for entertainment, whether traveling alone or with colleagues,” said Janis Milham, vice president and global brand manager for Courtyard by Marriott.
