Healthy Community Fund donates $220,000 to area nonprofits

The Healthy Community Fund, an initiative created by St. Joseph’s Community Foundation to benefit health and wellness programs and projects in Washington County, has distributed $220,000 in grants to nine local nonprofit groups.

The fund, established in 2008, enables Froedtert Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Froedtert Health Medical Group to support nonprofit organizations and community resources that promote health and wellness efforts and healthy lifestyle choices.

Nonprofits receiving grant funds were recognized at an award breakfast at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Dec. 5.
