The Cheel’s Turret
The Cheel restaurant in Thiensville has a new feature on the exterior of the Queen Ann-style building, which was built in the 1890s. A turret, which includes a bronze eagle handmade by Thiensville artist Allen Caucutt and sculptor Tom Queoff, was recently added to the building. Jesse and Barkha Daily bought the three-story, 1,600-square-foot building in 2013, renovated it and opened The Cheel, a Himalayan-flavored restaurant, last year. Cheel is a Nepalese word for eagle.
