Columbia St. Mary’s receives cancer achievement award
Columbia St. Mary’s Cancer Center Milwaukee won the mid-year 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. Columbia St. Mary’s is one of 20 accredited cancer programs in the United States – and one of two in Milwaukee – to receive this award, which acknowledges cancer programs that achieve excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients.
Award criteria were based on qualitative and quantitative surveys conducted during the first half of 2015.The purpose of the award is to raise the bar on quality cancer care, with the ultimate goal of increasing awareness about quality care choices among cancer patients.
Schenck M&A Solutions wins Acquisition International awards
Acquisition International Magazine named Schenck M&A Solutions as a winner in the categories of Best USA M&A Solutions and Sustained Excellence in Exit Planning – USA as part of its 2015 M&A Awards program. Schenck received the Best USA M&A Solutions award for White Deer, Penn.-based Thermal Product Solutions LLC’s acquisition of East Troy-based Wisconsin Oven Corp.
The selection process combines submitted supporting evidence, along with Acquisition International’s in-house research and the in-depth knowledge and expertise of its network of corporate leaders and experts to arrive at the final winners list.
Headquartered in Appleton, Schenck SC has 10 offices in Wisconsin and Illinois, including in Milwaukee.
Real Racine recognized by Destination Marketing Association International
Real Racine, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for Racine County, was awarded with the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program seal by Destination Marketing Association International. The award is in recognition of Real Racine’s commitment to industry excellence and meeting the industry standard for performance and accountability of DMOs.
The accreditation program requires a DMO to successfully comply with a multitude of mandatory and voluntary standards that span a variety of performance areas. The standards cover aspects including governance, finance, human resources, sales, communications, destination development and research.
Milwaukee-area attorneys selected as ‘Best Lawyers in America’
Five attorneys from Milwaukee-based Kohner, Mann & Kailas S.C. were selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Robert Gegios was named the 2016 Antitrust Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Milwaukee. Gegios was also selected by Best Lawyers in the practice areas of commercial litigation, litigation – antitrust, and antitrust law.
Matthew Gerdisch was recognized for bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights, insolvency and reorganization law, and litigation-bankruptcy; Christopher Kailas was recognized for bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights and insolvency and reorganization law; Samuel Wisotzkey was recognized for bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights and insolvency and reorganization law; and David Chartier was recognized for creditor debtor rights.
In addition, three lawyers from Milwaukee-based Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. were included in The Best Lawyers in America.
Ross Anderson was named 2016 Milwaukee Litigation – Construction Lawyer of the Year; Richard Lewandowski was named 2016 Madison Litigation – Environmental Lawyer of the Year; and Philip Miller was named 2016 Milwaukee Trusts & Estates Lawyer of the Year.
