Area home buyers hibernated in February as bitter cold weather hit the region. Home sales in the four-county metro Milwaukee area were down 10.1 percent in February compared to February of 2013, according to the latest report from the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.

Legislature approves Milwaukee shoreline bill to boost The Couture
The state Senate on Tuesday, by a 25-8 vote, approved legislation to establish the legal boundary for the Milwaukee shoreline. The bill is an attempt to clear up legal issues blocking The Couture, a proposed high-rise development near the lakefront in downtown Milwaukee.

Falls Plaza sold in sheriff’s sale
Falls Plaza, a 124,636-square-foot shopping center in Menomonee Falls that had been in foreclosure, was recently sold in a sheriff’s sale to Kansas City, Mo.-based Mission Peak Capital. The property was sold by Horsham, Penn.-based Falls Plaza Venture LLC.

Milwaukee-based Zilber Ltd. recently sold a pair of industrial buildings in the Milwaukee area to Minneapolis-based Founders Properties LLC for $12.7 million, according to state records.
