Dentist charged with health care fraud sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison
Scott Charmoli, a Grafton resident who worked as a dentist at a practice in the Washington County village of Jackson has been sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for purposefully damaging the teeth of several patients during hundreds of crown procedures. He was also ordered to pay over $1 million in forfeiture.

Milwaukee data science company Sift Healthcare raises $9 million
Milwaukee-based Sift Healthcare, a data science company that helps health care providers receive increased patient payment and payer reimbursement, has closed a $9 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Allos Ventures and First Trust Capital Partners. The Winnebago Seed Fund is one of several early investors in the company.
My Choice Wisconsin acquired by California firm for $150 million
Wauwatosa-based My Choice Wisconsin (MCW), a Medicaid managed care organization serving customers throughout the state, has been acquired by Long Beach, California-based Molina Healthcare, Inc. Molina Healthcare will pay approximately $150 million, net of expected tax benefits and required regulatory capital, to acquire substantially all the assets of MCW.
Versiti acquires Missouri-based Ethical and Independent Review Service
Milwaukee-based Versiti, a company specializing in blood health solutions, has acquired Lees Summit, Missouri-based Ethical and Independent Review Services (E&I). Â Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
