Items for sale include fruits, vegetables, baked goods, flowers, jewelry, artwork and more. The market runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 10. *Thursday, Sept. 19, the Salus Schlitz Park Corporate Challenge will promote employee health and wellness with an opportunity for area professionals to participate in a 5K run/walk or 2-mile walk. The event, presented by Good Harvest Market, includes the run/walk followed by a riverfront dinner, a Wellness Expo and awards. Runners and walkers will also receive a free training plan and will be able to enter for raffle and door prizes. In its third year, the corporate challenge will begin at 6:15 p.m. at Schlitz Park, located at 1555 N. Rivercenter Dr. in Milwaukee. Onsite registration begins at 4:30 p.m. and costs $40 per person. *Thursday, Sept. 26, BizTimes Media will present its annual Fittest Execs Program and Awards. The initiative encourages health and wellness in the workplace beginning at the executive level to help company management lead by example. The program also provides a competition component in which BizTimes Media recognizes participants who have proven themselves to be among the region’s “fittest execs.” The program and awards will run from 4:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m. with networking and a special plank competition included. The event will be held in the Woodland Dreams Ballroom of Potawatomi Bingo Casino, located at 1721 W. Canal St. in Milwaukee. *Friday, Sept. 27, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and Fuel Milwaukee will bring a group of area professionals to the Skylight Music Theater to see Fidelio, a Bollywood Film inspired by Beethoven’s classic opera. The event will include a VIP reception and meet and greet with Skylight’s new artistic director, Viswa Subbaraman. Attendees will also gain entry to a pre-show reception with complimentary appetizers and drink specials as well as complimentary henna tattoos, and they will have premium seating during the show and have a chance to see Skylight’s post-show cabaret. Additionally, VIP registrants will be part of a post-performance backstage tour and take home a special-edition playbill. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Salon of Broadway Theatre Center, located at 158 N. Broadway in Milwaukee. Cost for Fuel/MMAC members to attend is $40 in advance, $55 at the door, $50 in advance for a VIP ticket and $65 at the door for a VIP ticket.
