Zilber renovating first floor of 633 Building

Milwaukee-based Zilber Ltd. is spending about $300,000 to renovate the first floor of the 633 Building at 633 W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee.

The lobby will be renovated and two retail space, previously occupied by a salon and a small sundry shop will be converted to a conference room for use by the building’s tenants, said Zilber Ltd. Vice President Mike Mervis.

In the only remaining retail space in the building, Omar Amin and Alaa Musa plan to open a breakfast and burger restaurant on April 1, according to a report in OnMilwaukee.com, a media partner of BizTimes Milwaukee.

The 20-story, 230,495-square-foot building was built in 1964, includes an attached 5-level parking structure, and has an assessed value of $10.3 million, according to city records.
