WMC to salute Business Friends of the Environment

Twelve Wisconsin companies have been nominated for the Business Friends of the Environment Awards, presented by the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), honoring leadership in pollution prevention, environmental innovation and stewardship.

“These 12 companies are among the premiere protectors of the environment in the entire state of Wisconsin,” said Eric Bott, WMC director of environmental and energy policy. “In Wisconsin, businesses lead the way to protect our natural resources – going above and beyond regulations. Conservation protects the environment, and it makes good business sense.”

Six awards, based on company size, will be presented to businesses for their commitment and improvements in the areas of pollution prevention, innovative technology, and environmental stewardship.
