Wisconsin Eye: Next MPS superintendent outlines priorities

Gregory Thornton, who will become the next superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools in July, says it will be important to build a coalition between the school district, the community, the parents, local universities and the business community to work together to improve educational results at MPS.
Thornton was the featured guest at a Milwaukee Press Club Newsmaker Luncheon. To view a Wisconsin Eye video of the event, click here.
Meanwhile, a poll of BizTimes Daily readers this week found that 63 percent do not believe a new superintendent can make a positive difference at MPS.
