The Milwaukee Wave of Hope, the charitable arm of the Milwaukee Wave Professional Indoor Soccer Team, is seeking applications for the second annaul M&I Bank Charitable Jersey Program.
Last year, the organziation distributed more than $40,000 to local nonprofits and charities that were a part of the program.
As part of the program, The Milwaukee Wave team wore different custom designed ‘home’ jerseys in honor of a local charity each game. The program aims to raise funds for local charities by auctioning off the home jerseys but also increases awareness for the charities.
Last year the M&I Bank Charitable Jersey Program included JDRF/ADA, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, Ronald McDonald House, United Way of Greater Milwaukee, Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, Autism Society, Make-A-Wish, Go Pink!, Children’s Hospital, and the MACC Fund.
Marshall & Ilsley Corp, the parent company of M&I Bank was recently acquired by Canada’s Bank of Montreal, which does business as BMO Financial Group. M&I Bank is being combined with Harris Bank to form BMO Harris Bank N.A., part of BMO Financial Group.
Customers will begin to see the new BMO Harris Bank name as the systems integration is completed over the next 18 months. Until the integration is completed, BMO Harris Bank N.A. will operate the former M&I bank branches under the M&I name.
Non-profits interested in participating in the program may complete the application found at www.milwaukeewaveofhope.org.
