The Donors Forum of Wisconsin announced that Jill Van Calster has been named the new president and chief executive officer of the organization.
“Jill is passionate about continuing DFW’s mission to support and promote effective philanthropy through education, best practices, enhanced partnerships and leadership. We are delighted to have her at the helm of the organization. Jill is looking forward to working with the member constituency, the talented team of employees, and the philanthropic community in the pursuit of continuing the mission and vision of DFW,” said DFW board chair Lisa Hiller.
Van Calster brings to DFW more than two decades of experience serving high-profile Wisconsin nonprofit organizations. Most recently, Van Calster was the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Curative Care Network.
She previously served as vice president of community relations chartered with visioning, developing and transforming Curative’s mission and goals into highly relevant and effective fund development and community relations programs. She also held leadership roles at Blue Cross & Blue Shield United in Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The DFW is a regional association of grantmakers who support and promote effective philanthropy through membership, professional development and information sharing.
Van Calster succeeds Deborah Fugenschuh, who departed from the DFW to become the executive director of the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
