The university’s Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program educates nonprofit executives, aspiring nonprofit leaders, and professionals seeking a career change on a variety of skillsets and issues pertinent to effective nonprofit management. Topics of discussion and exploration include planning, evaluation and outcome measurement, fund development, grant writing, marketing and communications, board development, nonprofit employee management, volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition, collaboration and advocacy, and financial management.

“The Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program provides an opportunity for you to gain credentials for career advancement, meet nonprofit professionals, and enhance knowledge, skills, and access to resources,” according to the program’s website.

Program students complete their leadership certificate through eight modules, which they select from a total of 10 available modules. Each module runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on a scheduled date. Modules are hosted on the grounds of UW-Parkside’s campus.
