U.S. Bank to host fireworks tonight

U.S. Bank will sponsor a fireworks show on downtown Milwaukee’s lakefront tonight, starting at about 9:30 p.m.

The show will include 5,000 igniters lighting more than 20,000 shells from two barges on Lake Michigan off of Veterans Park. There will be three parts to the show, each with an individual finale.

Minneapolis, Minn.-based U.S. Bank has 47 branches and more than 3,500 employees in the Milwaukee market, as well as the naming rights to the U.S. Bank Center in downtown Milwaukee.

The WISN 12 fireworks forecast calls for a possible shower at dusk, but a mostly dry evening. The fireworks will not be rescheduled in the event of severe weather.
