What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of? I play tennis 3-4 times a week and try to run another two days a week and overall stay active.
What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any? Lake Country Racket Club
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life? Being fit has allowed me to deal with stress and spring fever.
How does personal fitness affect your work life? I am far more productive when I can build the stamina to put in 12 hour days. Also my patience level is much improved when I can blow off steam on the tennis courts.
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization? Leadership and cost containment are both part of how I view wellness in our organization. Respect is important in our business services offering and fitness drives confidence.
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative? I was so impressed with the printed report given to me from the Fittest Exec competition in 2009 that I look forward to tracking my progress each year you offer this going forward. This is highly recommended to both executives as leaders and all employees as a means to building value. And hey, it’s fun and feels good too!
