Schenck advises Badger Mining on acquisition of Northern Frac Proppants

Organizations:

Milwaukee’s Schenck M&A Solutions served as advisor to Berlin-based Badger Mining Corp. on the recent purchase of the assets of Alma Center-based Northern Frac Proppants II LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Badger Mining has 360 employees at seven Wisconsin facilities. It has acquired Northern Frac’s processing facility, mine and wash plant and rail load-out facility, along with its equipment.

Badger Mining will hire new employees at the Northern Frac locations, but it has not yet determined how many, said Marty Lehman, BMC associate. The acquisition is a strategic purchase that expands Badger’s production capabilities, he said.

“Our associates and their passion for success define who we are as a family-owned business,” Lehman said. “The culture of environmental responsibility, team, quality, safety and integrity underscores how we do business. That will continue as we move forward, and we are excited about the opportunities presented by this acquisition.”
