The U.S. Small Business Administration will host a forum designed to bring small business owners and entrepreneurs together with lenders on Friday, June 4 at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St., from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.
“Turbo Chat” will be free to attend and will allow small business owners to give a 5 to 7 minute elevator pitch of their financial needs to up to four lenders in a “speed-dating-type” format.
Business owners will pitch to lenders that range in size from the largest banks, to community banks, to micro-lenders.
“I encourage entrepreneurs to take full advantage of this excellent opportunity to meet with Wisconsin’s lenders,” said SBA’s District Director Eric Ness. “We recognize that small business is critical to our economic recovery and strength and the “Turbo Chat” forum is an additional way we can assist Wisconsin’s small business communities in growing stronger.”
The forum is free to attend, but due to limited available space pre-registration is required. To register visit www.sba.gov/wi.
In addition to the elevator pitches and exhibiting lenders, SCORE- the Counselors to America’s Small Business, small business development centers and women’s business centers will be on hand to offer their services as well.
