Scott Genke, founder and president of SG Property Management LLC, plans to redevelop the two-story, 86-year-old King Building at 2534 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood.

The project will include restoration of the storefront of the 24,870-square-foot building and creation of 32 luxury apartments. Rents will range from $1,150 to $1,750 for one bedroom, one bedroom and den, and two bedroom units. The interiors will feature finishes of wood and natural stone. The apartments will also have floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline.

The building will also have 4,000 square feet of retail space. It will also have 24 indoor and 12 outdoor parking spaces.
