State to move Bosch Tavern to expand part of Highway 100
The state Department of Transportation plans to rebuilding Highway 100 between Layton Avenue in Greenfield and College Avenue in Hales Corners. The project will include the widening of Highway 100 from 6 lanes to 8 lanes between Kay Parkway and Godsell Avenue and the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 100, Janesville Road and Forest Home Avenue. Also as part of the project the Bosch Tavern an historic building at 5871 S. 108th St., Hales Corners, will be relocated to a site nearby. The DOT will hold a public hearing on the Highway 100 project on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Hales Corners Municipal Building, 5635 S. New Berlin Road, Hales Corners.

TOBY Awards announced
The Business Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Wisconsin recently announced the winners of its annual The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards. The winners are: Renovated Building Category, Pabst Boiler House, 1243 N. 10th St., Milwaukee; Government Building Category, Milwaukee Intermodal Station, 433 W. St. Paul Ave., Milwaukee; EARTH Category, Clock Shadow Building, 225 W. Bruce St., Milwaukee.

New boutique opens in Third Ward
Heidi Darrow Mains announced the opening of Stella’s Trunk, Milwaukee’s newest boutique, located in the Historic Third Ward. Mains, a world traveler, formed Stella’s Trunk at 317 N. Broadway to bring Milwaukeeans unique, one-of-a kind gift items sourced from entrepreneurs both locally and around the world.

The Rock opens indoor baseball facility
The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin recently completed its newest addition, an indoor baseball facility at 7150 S. 76th St., in a 7,200-square-foot former Walgreens store space, located near the The Rock’s main complex. “We are excited to expand Rock League Baseball into the winter time, it’s important for all ball players to stay active in the winter so they are all well prepared for spring ball,” said Tom Johns, Rock League Baseball director.
