Last construction pre-bid meeting for Potawatomi hotel to be held July 15
Greenfire Mangement Services and Gilbane Building Company will hold a pre-bid and information conference for contractors interested in providing interior finishes and hardscape work for the Potawatomi Bingo Casino hotel project. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, in the Woodland Dreams Ballroom in the casino at 1721 W. Canal St., Milwaukee. “We passed the halfway point in construction earlier this summer and we’re expecting to reach peak workforce capacity in late February by adding approximately 300 construction jobs,” said Kyle Merrill, senior project manager at Gilbane Building Co. The 18-story hotel will have 381 guest rooms.

Restaurant planned in Tosa Village
The Lowlands Group, which owns Café Hollander, Café Centraal, Café Benelux and Trocadero, plans to open a restaurant at 7700 Harwood Avenue in the downtown Wauwatosa Village area. Developer Sean Phelan purchased the building in May, which is near the Wauwatosa location for Café Hollander. Read more in OnMilwaukee.com, a media partner of BizTimes Milwaukee.

Wisconsin Lutheran College plans 6-story building
Wisconsin Lutheran College plans to build a 6-story building southwest of Wisconsin Avenue and North 89th Street in the city of Milwaukee. The mixed-use building will have residences above parking and classroom space.
