Munson, Inc., Glendale, recently hired Matt Lewis, project manager; Jamie Phillips, sales support assistant; and Fred Kolkmann as consultant for the tennis & track division. 


GRAEF recently announced the election of Terry Foster, Bryan Mentzel, Joe Pepitone, and Steve Schowalter as associates in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Randolph Videkovich, also joined the Milwaukee office as the land and water resources team leader.

Chambers of Commerce and Visitors Bureaus

The Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce recently hired Jim Jackson, director of sales; and Mary Baer, membership development liaison.


The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater recently announced the winners of the 2009 Environmental Achievement Awards. They include Steve Lewis, president of the Jefferson Development Corp. and Tim Reutebuch, UW-Whitewater social work professor; Schenck Accurate, for leading its industry in manufacturing and supplying  volumetric and gravimetric feeders that reduce waste and curb energy consumption, and the Trippe/Cravath Lake Improvement Committee for working to complete an aquatic plant inventory of Whitewater lakes that will be used to develop strategies to improve lake quality.

Marquette University college of Business administration and graduate school of management recently presented its alumni awards to area professionals. James Sartori, president of Sartori Foods, received the distinguished alumnus of the year award; Mary McDonnell, president and CEO of Geneva Trading USA LLC received the professional achievement award; Dan Meyer, owner and publisher of BizTimes Media LLC received the Entrepreneurial Award; Thomas Kuesel, founder and president of the Milwaukee property management firm Kuesel and Company, received the Service to Marquette Award; Laura Wake Bray, executive director of Menomonee Valley Partners, received the Young Alumna Award; and Barry Mandel, founder of the Mandel Group, received the Friend of the College Award.

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) recently promoted Subha Kumpaty, Douglas Stahl and Stephen Williams from associate professors to professors, and also recently promoted Bass Abushakra and Carma Stahnke from assistant professors to associate professors at the school.

Health Care

Dr. Dennis Maiman, an internationally recognized expert in spinal disorders and spinal cord injury, has been appointed chairman of The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Neurosurgery, and director of clinical neurosciences at Froedtert Hospital.

Devicor Medical Products, LLC, Pleasant Prairie, recently named Jonathan Salkin executive vice president of corporate development and strategy.


Chad Mydlowski has joined Integrated Risk Solutions, Pewaukee, as senior OCIP safety consultant.

Legal Services

Robert Habush of Habush, Habush & Rottier, S.C., Milwaukee, was recently named one of the most preeminent lawyers in the country by Best Lawyers in America, the oldest lawyer-rating publication in the United States. For the first time, Best Lawyers honored the most distinguished attorneys in Milwaukee, and Habush was selected by his peers as Milwaukee’s Personal Injury Litigator of the Year.

Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, recently announced that Patricia Hutter, a partner in the firm’s corporate services practice, has been named to the Milwaukee Ballet board of directors. The firm also welcomed Jessica Van Bommel to its health law group.

Sara Dill recently joined the law firm of Friebert, Finerty & St. John, S.C., Milwaukee, as an associate.  Dill focuses her practice in the areas of both domestic and international immigration law and criminal defense.
