Vrakas/Blum, S.C., Brookfield, promoted Micheal Psuik to shareholder. Psuik is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Komisar Brady & Co., LLP, Milwaukee, added two individuals to its staff. Angela Bonnell joined Komisar Brady & Co., LLP’s bookkeeping department. Jay Derr also joined Komisar Brady & Co., LLP, as a staff accountant.

Chortek & Gottschalk LLP, Waukesha announced that Paul Rodrigues joined the firm as a principal. Rodrigues brings 20 years of experience in construction, real estate, litigation and forensic accounting to Chortek & Gottschalk LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Rodrigues was the national tax director for Jefferson Wells International, Milwaukee.

Laura Frymark has joined Suby, Von Haden & Associates, S.C., Milwaukee, as senior staff accountant for the business advisory services group.

Kolb+Co. S.C., Brookfield, appointed Cheryl Aschenbrener, Neil Keller, Michael Peer as shareholders of the firm, and promoted Dan Roslawski to accounting and auditing senior. Kolb+Co. Corporate Finance, LLC, an affiliate of Kolb+Co. S.C., also recently welcomed John Kielich to the firm as managing director of corporate finance services. Kielich has more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing, financial services and public accounting industries. In addition, Steve Spector has been admitted as a member of Kolb+Co. Financial Advisors, LLC, and named managing director of risk management services. Spector has been part of Kolb+Co. Financial Advisers, LLC since 2005.

Vollrath Associates, Inc., Milwaukee, recently announced that Kacy Jauron has joined the firm as account coordinator. Jauron is a December 2007 graduate of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University. She graduated with a major in public relations and communications studies.  

Mark McLaughlin was hired as director of media relations at Ron Sonntag Public Relations, Milwaukee. Prior to joining the firm, McLaughlin was media relations coordinator at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, following his 20 years on the air at Today’s TMJ4 and WTMJ radio.

Boelter + Lincoln, Milwaukee, promoted Wendy Appelbaum to director of financial services. Appelbaum has worked with the agency since April 1991.

Bader Rutter & Associates, Milwaukee, added April Dart to the staff as assistant account executive in the agency’s public relations group. Bridget Bode was also promoted to account executive in the agency’s account management group. Bode joined Bader Rutter in 2005.

Arts & Entertainment

Megan McCormick and Angela Meier, both formerly digital artists for Shoot the Moon Photography, Mequon, have been promoted to associate photographers with the company. McCormick and Meier have both been employees with Shoot the Moon Photography for three years and are studying art at UW-Milwaukee.

Kendra Finco has joined Saturn Lounge Studio, New Berlin, as an artist representative for the studio’s photography team.

Banking & Finance

First Wisconsin Bank & Trust, Brookfield, promoted Leila Pals to assistant vice president of consumer lending and Alan McAfee to assistant vice president of treasury management. Pals has been with the bank since its inception in March 2006 when she started in the role of business development officer. McAfee joined the bank in April 2007.

Building & Construction

Berghammer Construction Corporation, Butler, added Gino Carini as director of sales. Prior to joining Berghammer, Carini spent 15 years in the real estate and construction industry. He received his bachelor of science in marketing from the University of Arizona.

Consulting

Meredith Ehn has joined the staff at Francis Investment Counsel LLC, Pewaukee, as a client relations specialist. Prior to joining Francis Investment Counsel LLC, Ehn served as a registered representative for a national brokerage firm where she developed and maintained personalized investment strategies for clients and managed client relationships. 

Ziad Lewis joined the staff of Kowal Investment Group, LLC, Waukesha, as a client development specialist. Lewis is a recent graduate of Marquette University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree. While studying at Marquette, he worked in the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Educational Opportunity Program office.

Chambers of Commerce and Visitors Bureaus

The Village of Shorewood Board of Trustees promoted Diane De Windt-Hall to assistant to the village manager. De Windt-Hall had been serving as administrative assistant to the village manager for the past six years. 

Distribution

CableMaster Corp., Menomonee Falls, promoted Jeffrey Magnuson to president. Magnuson has been employed with CableMaster for 20 years. In his previous position as product and sales manager, he expanded the company’s China ventures.

Health Care

Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, added four doctors to its medical staff. The additions included Dr. Matthew Lister, otolaryngology; Dr. Joanne Brooks, family practice; Dr. Brian Hirano, hospitalist; and Dr. Erik Gierahn, emergency medicine.

The Medical College of Wisconsin has appointed three new doctors to its staff. Dr. Sunitha Sukumaran has been named assistant professor of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has joined the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Sukumaran is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. John Imig has been appointed professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, he has been awarded two patents for drugs used to reduce damage from strokes and to treat kidney and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Leena Varkey Maramattom has been appointed assistant professor of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Maramattom recently completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical College. 

Manufacturing

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has named Richard Jefferson to the senior director of public relations. Jefferson has a communications and managerial background of more than 20 years working in a variety of government, educational and business settings.

Media

I V Media, Inc., Brookfield, recently named Colleen Hartley vice president of operations. Hartley previously owned and operated her own video and multimedia company. She has worked extensively with a variety of clients and has produced products all across North America.

Real Estate

Shaun Dempsey joined the office services group staff of The Boerke Company Inc.,  Milwaukee. Prior to his work at The Boerke Company, Dempsey was employed at Grandbridge Real Estate LLC. He is a 2006 graduate of UW-Whitewater.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Wisconsin Region, added these new sales associates throughout their regional office network: David Guirl and Andrea Jabas, Glendale office; Shelley Daily, Mequon office; Bob Schultz and Eric Williams, Shorewood office; and Florian Belanger, and Shelley Buxrude in the Metro-West Suburban office.

Social Services

Jewish Family Services, Inc., Milwaukee, announced that Julie Shlensky has joined the agency as manager of the Young Adults Independence Project and as a case manager for adult clients with developmental disabilities and severe and persistent mental illness in the agency’s Exceptional Needs Division. She has over 20 years of experience working in the field of education and also has counseling experience.

Training and Development

Public Allies, Inc., Milwaukee, appointed Cris Ros Dukler as its new chief operating officer. Ros Dukler brings more than 30 years experience of executive leadership in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. She previously led state regulatory departments in Texas and Wisconsin, and served as chief operating officer of a regional nonprofit overseeing an $11 million budget and 400 employees working to improve foster care services in two states.

Careers Industries, Racine, has re-elected John Benavides as president. Other officers are Drew Abram, vice president; Mike Haubrich, treasurer; Bill Streeter, past president; and Cheryl Zwaga, secretary.
