At 35 years old, Pam Evason embodies what it means to be the next generation of leadership. She is an active leader at Make A Difference-Wisconsin and several other organizations, including BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation Inc., National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter and ACTS Housing.

She is a member of the ACTS Housing fund development committee and regularly works with organization leadership to build out a fundraising strategy and cultivate new donors. Evason also was recently elected board president of Make A Difference-Wisconsin; she will take on that responsibility in 2016.

“Pam is special. I knew that within minutes of meeting her,” said Brenda Campbell, executive director of Make A Difference-Wisconsin. “She’s extremely smart, professional and a great communicator. But she doesn’t just talk – she puts her words into action.”

In addition to Evason’s board service, she also played an integral role in Make A Difference-Wisconsin’s pilot Money Coach program. The initiative provides one-on-one financial coaching to high school juniors and seniors.

Additionally, she contributes to several organizations financially while also running a successful small business.

“Pam is one of the most outstanding young professionals (I’ve) ever met,” said Phil Smith, past president of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee and retired Firststar Trust Co. president.

As a member of Milwaukee’s business community, Evason has a continuing desire to help identify areas of need and to make a positive contribution in addressing them, he added.

True to form, Evason credits her recognition to the staff and leaders of the organizations she works with.

“It’s an honor to work with (them). (They) are the ones that do the heavy lifting day-in and day-out, and for that I thank (them),” she said.
