What has fueled your company’s growth? “Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is one of the main drivers fueling our growth. As enterprise moves towards cloud computing platforms, they are finding that the migration from physical to virtual (P2V), can be tricky and requires expert support. They need a turnkey provider with a feature-rich service offering that is highly flexible and can scale on demand. OFFSITE hits all of these buckets very well.”
What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? “I don’t see any obstacles to our growth. What I do see are the many challenges that are common to any growing company. Maintaining efficient operations while we expand, hiring quality people who also fit our company culture, and preserving our sense of partnership with a rapidly growing client base are a few.”
Do you plan to make any changes in your company in the coming months? “Our employee base will grow by 20 to 30 percent in the coming months. We are also in preliminary planning to expand our data center footprint in the area.”
Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them? “First on my list is my father, Gene Borucki. My dad is what’s known today as a serial startup entrepreneur. Since childhood, I have watched my dad grow and develop several successful companies. I really enjoy talking business with my dad as an adult and hearing stories of the challenges he faced throughout his career. Above all, my dad taught me perseverance both in life and in business and I admire anyone who can face serious challenges calmly, intelligently and charitably. A second trait I admire in business people are innovators and “disrupters.” One of the more interesting people I’ve met recently who does both is Raman Chadha and his company, the Junto Institute. The Junto is a peer-to-peer program for one year old or older companies. It fills a huge gap for entrepreneurs once they have the doors open on what to do next.”
What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months? “Generally speaking, the outlook for our industry over the next several months is very good. Interest rates are at historic lows and look to remain there for the near term. Lenders are starting to loosen up and job growth is also picking up. Specifically for OFFSITE, the strong trend in enterprise adoption of cloud computing platforms that enables companies to consume and scale resources on demand and convert IT spending from a capital expense to an operational expense is a very positive sign for our company.”
What is your company’s most important growth strategy right now? “As a service provider, our growth strategy is client focused and simple: operational excellence within our core offerings of data center facilities and Infrastructure as a Service.”
