- Monday, July 23, New Berlin-based Emteq Corp. will host its annual golf outing to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Fund at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin at the Legend at Brandybrook, 1 Legend Way, Wales. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with golf, dinner and an auction to follow. Registration to the event is $1,000 per foursome or $250 for a single golfer. - Thursday, July 26 Jeff Cirillo, a former Milwaukee Brewer great will host his third annual Charity Golf Classic at Geneva National Golf Club. In addition to golf, the event will feature silent and live auctions, a live broadcast by Milwaukee ESPN 540 radio and large ticket items including an autographed Brandon Jennings jersey, a jermichael finely autographed helmet, Robin Yount memborabilia, autographed baseballs by Bert Blyleven, Jim Thome, Justin Morneau, Clayton Kershaw and Don Mattingly.
Cirillo still remains the club’s all-time career batting leader. The golf outing will again partner with the Social Development Foundation. Wells St., Milwaukee. The workshop will discuss a variety of treatment options available to neurological patients with tone or spasticity concerns. Physicians, nurse practitioners, and representatives of products that work in conjunction with these treatments will provide an in-depth explanation of techniques that can complement therapy and provide better outcomes.Presenters will include Dr. Chris Cronsell, director of neurorehabilitation at Center for Neurological Disorders and Dr. Nick Ketchum, assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Cost to attend is $55 per person, including breakfast and materials. Proceeds go to the Milwaukee Center for Independence and Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin.
