Nichols is Racine business leadership award recipient

Kim Nichols, Racine Metal-Fab chief executive officer and owner, was recently honored with the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) Business Person of the Year Award.

The award was given to Nichols at the 31st annual RAMAC Business Awards. During the awards ceremony, the nonprofit association recognized local businesses and individuals for their contribution to making a positive impact in the community through successful business operations.

“I am honored to have received the award and share the achievement with the entire RMF team,” Nichols said. “It is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff who have supported me and the company along this journey.”

Racine Metal-Fab built a new 75,000-square-foot facility to accommodate growth and improve efficiency. In the past few years, the company has doubled its sales and added more than 25 employees to its workforce.

Since returning to the family business in 2000, Nichols has implemented programs to improve quality, increase efficiency, maintain costs and boost employee morale, according to the RAMAC.
RAMAC is an independent non-profit organization representing members of small and large industrial, professional, service and retail business and community organizations in the greater Racine area.
