GOP gubernatorial hopefuls Mark Neumann and Scott Walker are running new ads that tout their conservative credentials.
Walker’s new TV ad, his third of the campaign, features him driving in his 1998 Saturn, which has more than 100,000 miles on the odometer.
“This is my lunch," Walker says, speaking directly to the camera as he drives. "I pack a brown bag each day so I can save some money to spend on, you know, the more important things in life, like sending my kids to college. Wouldn’t it be great if the government actually saved money like all the rest of us do?”
In a new 60-second radio ad, Neumann bashes the "Obama-Pelosi" health care plan.
"Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama just forced a health care plan on Wisconsin that expands government and drives America nearly another trillion dollars into debt. Their big spending plan will raise taxes and kill our economy," Neumann says.
Neumann urges listeners to sign onto a petition at his campaign Web site to call on Doyle to allow a state challenge to the law.
The tagline of the ad says Neumann is "the conservative choice for governor."
