National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum coming to Milwaukee

A group of collectors plans to open a National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee by 2016, according to co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar.

The group forming the museum, which will display the world’s largest bobblehead collection and bobblehead exhibits, has created a Kickstarter campaign to fund the project. The campaign has so far raised $1,800 of its $250,000 goal.

“We are very excited to bring such a unique attraction to the great city of Milwaukee. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will be a fun venue for collectors, fans and visitors to experience all things bobble-related,” Sklar said. “Milwaukee is such a unique city with a long sports history, making it a perfect location for collectors and fans around the world to gather for the ultimate bobblehead experience.”

The group is still evaluating site locations, but plans call for special event space, a bar and grill and a gift shop. It is pre-selling memberships to the museum.

“The excitement and membership pre-sales during the pre-launch efforts have been tremendous, and we are excited to officially announce the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum to the world,” said Brad Novak, co-founder and president. “Becoming a member or helping to fund the Museum through the Museum’s Kickstarter campaign will help us build the highest quality Hall of Fame and Museum possible.”
