    Milwaukee Mayor TOM BARRETT this week had a third surgery on the right hand that was injured last summer during an assault near State Fair Park. His city office said the tenolysis surgery was done to provide more flexibility in his fingers and declared it a success. Barrett began occupational therapy this week and will “return to the office as quickly as possible.” See more:

    Gov. JIM DOYLE has appointed Brookfield attorney KATHLEEN STILLING to the Waukesha County Circuit Court, replacing Judge PAUL REILLY following his election to the Court of Appeals. See the press release:

    The governor has also appointed two circuit court judges in Washington County. West Bend attorney JAMES POUROS will replace resigning Judge PATRICK FARAGHER, while county District Attorney TODD MARTENS will replace resigning Judge DAVID RESHESKE. See more:
