Medical device manufacturer expands in Butler

Butler-based medical device components and assemblies manufacturer MRPC has opened a 15,000-square-foot expansion to its facility at 13161 W. Glendale Ave. The facility now totals 100,000 square feet.

The $2.5 million expansion includes new cleanrooms, office space and employee support space.

As a result of the expansion, MRPC expects to grow at a rate of 10 to 15 percent per year over the next five years, hiring 35 to 40 employees in the Milwaukee area during that time. MRPC currently has 120 employees in Butler and 20 employees at its Largo, Fla. Facility.

MRPC expanded to meet increased demand for silicone molding, multiple-material molding, micromolding, medical molding and thermoplastic molding.

“We are committed to investing in Milwaukee and the medical device manufacturing industry,” said Greg Riemer, president. “MRPC is continually evolving to maintain our position as industry leaders on the cutting edge of technology, and this expansion supports our continued growth and innovation.”
