MARN to move to Third Ward

Organizations:

The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) will relocate to the Historic Third Ward on the sixth floor of the Marshall Building at 207 E. Buffalo St.

The organization will make the move in May and will be tenant in about 600 square feet of space at Plaid Tuba headquarters.

MARN is moving from 5407 W. Vliet St. in Milwaukee.

The Marshall Building has become a hub for the creative community emerging in Milwaukee’s downtown.

“MARN has flourished during our time at our office on Vliet Street and we have seen the arts succeed with strong community support from the Washington Heights Neighborhood,” said Pamela Anderson, MARN board president. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with that area as we move to our new home in the Historic Third Ward.”

Art partnerships have become a strong component of MARN’s organizational model. MARN has long collaborated with the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design on events and art opportunities. Additionally, MARN hosts programming at external venues i.e., MARNmovies, a monthly film screening and workshop series, which is held at the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Lubar Auditorium.

MARN is a nonprofit art-service organization that provides professional development tools to the creative class.
