Green Bay-based WS Packaging Group Inc. has named Rex Lane as its new chief executive officer. Lane will continue to drive company innovations in industry technology, with an increasing focus on total business lean initiatives aimed at improving profitability, quality, service and overall cost-effectiveness in order to stay competitive in all aspects of the business.

Terry Fulwiler, who is retiring as CEO, held the position for nearly 25 years. He will serve as chairman until June 2011.

Lane brings 16 years of business management and lean manufacturing implementation experience to his new position. Immediately prior to joining WS Packaging Group, he was the vice president of global supply chain and operations for Apex Tool Group in Sparks, Md.

“I’m pleased we’ve been able to attract a talent such as Rex to continue the long and successful record of WS Packaging Group,” Fulwiler said. “Rex has a solid background and a great passion to succeed. I’m looking forward to working with him as he begins his career at WS Packaging Group.”

Oshkosh Corp. has named Frank Nerenhausen executive vice president and president of the commercial segment. Nerenhausen will replace Mike Wuest, who is retiring.

Nerenhausen most recently served as vice president of sales for McNeilus, a company within the commercial segment. Since joining Oshkosh Corp. in 1986, Nerenhausen has held several key executive sales and finance positions.

"During his more than 29-year career at Oshkosh Corp., Mike Wuest has been an important part of our organization and held essential roles in advancing our purchasing and operations systems," said Charlie Szews, Oshkosh Corp. president and chief operating officer. "His leadership of the commercial group during the global economic recession has provided a strong foundation for our company to build upon. Frank Nerenhausen will bring his considerable sales skills and strategic vision to this leadership position and build momentum for capturing future opportunities."

The commercial segment of the Oshkosh Corp. consists of McNeilus, CON-E-CO, London Machinery and IMT.
