Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Corp. announced today that it will open two Off/Aisle stores in Wauwatosa and Waukesha.
The Wauwatosa store will open at the Mayfair Collection, the mixed-use development by Chicago-based HSA Commercial Real Estate northeast of U.S. Highway 45 and Burleigh Road. The Off/Aisle store at the Mayfair Collection will occupy 23,392 square feet of space, according to HSA. It will be located between Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ulta Beauty.
The Waukesha store will open at 120 E. Sunset Drive in a space that was formerly occupied by a Kmart store but has now been slip up for numerous retail tenants.
The two stores will open in late March or early April. These will be the second and third Off/Aisle stores opened by Kohl’s. The first opened in June in Cherry Hill, N.J.
“We believe The Mayfair Collection offers the perfect venue for Kohl’s to launch their new store concept, which is a big reason why we are so excited to have them as our final anchor for phase one (of the development),” said Tim Blum of HSA Commercial Real Estate.
Kohl’s was represented in the Mayfair Collection lease transaction by Yoni Zvi of EDG18 Commercial Real Estate, according to HSA.
News about the new Kohl’s Off’/Aisle stores comes on the same day a Wall Street Journal report said the company’s directors are considering plans to take the company private, or break it up.
