Hastings Air Energy Control Inc. recently began construction on a renovation and 10,000-square-foot expansion of its New Berlin headquarters at 5555 S. Westridge Dr.
Company president David Bohrer said, “The 10,000 square feet are needed to accommodate additional showroom equipment and warehouse space so we can better serve our clients.”
Currently the facility has a 2,000 square foot laboratory/working showroom, 6,000 square feet of office space and 7,000 square feet of warehouse and dock area. The expansion will increase the overall facility size to approximately 25,000 square feet. At the same time, the parking area will be expanded to provide adequate space for clients and additional employees.
The Hastings expansion and renovation are being managed by Jackson-based Design 2 Construct Development Corp.
The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012. Phase II, remodeling and expanding the company’s popular showroom, will follow immediately thereafter. The final phase, reconfiguring the entire office space, is scheduled to begin late this spring. The entire project should be completed late in the third quarter.
