Hartland shopping center sold for $3.2 million

Organizations:

Mequon-based Devo Properties recently purchased a 65,000-square-foot shopping center northwest of Hartbrook Drive and Merton Avenue, just north of Highway 16, in Hartland for $3.2 million, according to state records. The shopping center was sold by Madison-based Hartbrook Mall Associates LLP.

The property was known as Hartbrook Mall, but has been renamed Sendik’s Hartland Plaza. This summer a Sendik’s store will open in a 30,000 square feet space in the shopping center.

The shopping center is attractive because of good demographics in the area, said Devo Properties CEO Greg Devorkin. The shopping center has lacked an anchor tenant for six years, he said. After the addition of Sendik’s the shopping center will still have about 10,000 square feet of vacant space.

Other tenants currently located in the shopping center include Biebel’s True Value and Great Midwest Bank.
