Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago has named Jacqueline Hallberg as its new president and chief executive officer.

The appointment will go into effect Jan. 1, 2013.

“Jackie has many strengths but what really stood out for the board was her leadership and success with large-scale workforce development operations, which are critical to Goodwill’s strategic direction,” said Rich Meeusen, board chairman of the Goodwill chapter. “Throughout her 22 years at Goodwill, Jackie has demonstrated innovation and an amazing ability to work with diverse groups, leading to positive outcomes for the organization.”

“Jackie comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in mission-focused services as well as the development of strategic direction for the organization,” said John Miller, president and CEO of Goodwill for 30 years. “I am leaving this organization with a strong leader that will help Goodwill thrive and grow into the future.”

Hallberg has held several positions with increasing responsibilities over the past 22 years. Two years later, Hallberg’s responsibilities grew and she was promoted to senior vice president of Federal Services, leading the strategic direction and operation of Goodwill’s federal contracts at Naval Station Great Lakes.
