Gielow appointed to the Wisconsin Arts Board

Gov. Scott Walker has named Mequon resident Mary Gielow to the Wisconsin Arts Board.

The board, based in Madison under the Department of Tourism, is an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Arts. Each of the 15 board members is selected by the governor to serve three-year terms. Board members are Wisconsin residents who have made significant contributions to arts, humanities, business education or public service.

Gielow owns and operates a public relations and author tour company called Luminaries, LLC that caters to Milwaukee and Madison. She is also the executive director of the Cedar Creek Settlement Merchants Association in Cedarburg.
