Generac completes Baldor transaction

Learn more about:

Generac Power Systems Inc. has completed its acquisition of Baldor Electric Company’s Oshkosh generator business.

According to state real estate records, the company purchased the property and building at 3815 Oregon St. in Oshkosh for $8.8 million. It has not released the total purchase price.

Baldor manufactures portable, mobile, standby and prime power generators with power capacity of 3 kilowatts to 2.5 megawatts.
Waukesha-based  Generac makes a variety of generators and engine powered products. The acquisition will allow Generac to gain more market share in the industrial and commercial segment, where it has just 15 percent of the pie, said Aaron Jagdfeld, president and chief executive officer of Generac, in a recent interview with BizTimes.
