Milwaukee-based financial services firm Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. has been ranked No. 9 on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For.
The company, which was ranked 14th last year, was commended for its shortened workweek, employee loyalty and employee ownership. Hourly associates’ hours are capped at 37.5 per week, 13 percent of employees have worked at Baird for more than 15 years and 80 percent of company stock is owned by non-senior management associates.
The company has 2.704 employees at 106 locations and reported 3.3 percent job growth over the past year.

Google topped the list, followed by SAS and The Boston Consulting Group. Baird was the only Wisconsin company ranked.
