Former Columbia St. Mary’s VP, COO appointed WHA chair

Therese Pandl, former executive vice president and chief operating officer at Columbia St. Mary’s, will begin her service on Thursday as chair of the Wisconsin Hospital Association in 2015. Pandl is now the president and chief executive officer of the Hospital Sisters Health System’s eastern Wisconsin division.

A member of the WHA Board since 2012, Pandl currently co-chairs the WHA Enrollment Action Council, the Wisconsin Hospitals Issue Advocacy Council and the WHA Executive Committee. She has also served as a member of WHA’s Medicaid Reengineering Group and Council on Public Policy.

During her tenure with Columbia St. Mary’s, she served in a variety of roles including lead executive for St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee, vice president of operations, vice president of inpatient services and nurse executive, as well as in director and staff positions.

In other WHA news, Eric Borgerding will become WHA president on Thursday, succeeding Steve Brenton, who served as president for 13 years.  Borgerding is currently executive vice president.

In 2015, Brenton will begin his new role as WHA senior policy advisor.
