Elite Sports Clubs to acquire Le Club

Organizations:

Elite Sports Clubs announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Le Club, a health and fitness club located in Glendale.

The addition of Le Club will expand Elite Sports Clubs to five clubs in the greater Milwaukee area, with three clubs in the North Shore area and two in Brookfield. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the month. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Le Club, established in 1972, was previously owned by ClubCorp, a Dallas-based company that owns 150 various clubs in 24 states, the District of Columbia and two foreign countries.
Elite Sports Clubs, owned by Fox Point native Kay Yuspeh, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
“This proposed acquisition continues our quest to provide area families with the finest comprehensive fitness clubs that offer something for everyone,” Yuspeh said. “Le Club has a long history of providing quality fitness services to area residents and we look forward to the opportunity of carrying on this great tradition and taking it to the next level. Le Club will truly complement our other North Shore clubs by providing additional value to our successful member passport program. I’m proud to have it as part of our Elite family.”
Following the acquisition, current Elite Sports Club members will have the opportunity to sample all of the other Elite Sports Clubs free of charge during the month of September, as a way to welcome the new club to the Elite family.
