Brookfield-based Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative has announced a partnership with Marinette-based Bay Area Medical Center that will bring the latter’s 99-bed hospital, employed physicians and affiliated services in-network for CGHC’s “Envision” members.

With the addition of BAMC, CGHC’s Envision network now includes 16 hospitals, 185 clinic sites, and 2,400 physicians and specialists. The network is available to residents of 19 eastern Wisconsin counties.

“The Envision integrated care network is focused on the things that matter most to our members, including care delivery and communication improvements that our members can feel,” said CGHC chief executive officer Cathy Mahaffey. “BAMC’s longstanding practice of surveying their patients and holding themselves accountable for patient satisfaction and education is exactly the kind of partner we need to improve the health care experience for our members.”

The Envision network is CGHC’s high-value, integrated care network associated with many individual and small group insurance products on the Wisconsin market today. The integrated care model, which delivers significant cost savings to CGHC members, is focused on quality and safety as Envision network providers work toward interoperable electronic medical records to promote care coordination between different health care professionals.

BAMC provides primary and secondary hospital services to Marinette and Menominee counties, and operates an outpatient surgery center and a cancer center.
