Coakley Brothers launches give back program to celebrate 121 years

Organizations:

Peggy Coakley, president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based Coakley Brothers Co., recently announced the launch of the “One To One” Give Back Initiative.

“To commemorate Coakley Brothers’ 121 years in business, we decided to launch an initiative that would challenge our employees and partners to get involved in a ‘give back’ program. Simply put, we intend to participate in 121 activities that will make a difference to the lives of people in the Greater Milwaukee area,” she said.

According to Coakley, the activities will range from sponsorship of events to employee participation in local non-profit efforts and neighborhood initiatives. Every individual in the company from the executives to warehouse will be challenged to decide how they will make a difference and contribute to the “One To One” initiative.

“This idea came out of our recent re-branding process. We wanted to make a more meaningful public statement by showing that our commitment to change is genuine rather than merely superficial,” Coakley said. “These are challenging times for business and communities and we feel compelled to act in an imaginative and positive way. It’s important to show what can de done and build on that.”
