CNBC star Marcus Lemonis issues $5 million giving challenge for Marquette

Camping World chief executive officer and TV personality Marcus Lemonis this week issued a $5 million giving challenge in support of Marquette University.

Lemonis, who stars in CNBC reality show “The Profit” and HGTV’s “The Renovator,” announced his challenge grant Wednesday on Twitter.

Funds from the challenge will support Marquette’s Student Success initiative, which includes advising, internships, career counseling, peer mentoring and pre-orientation opportunities.

Lemonis, who is also chairman and CEO of Good Sam Enterprises and Gander RV, graduated from Marquette in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He has supported previous Marquette campaigns.

Last week, the university launched its “Marquette Gamechanger” campaign, which asks alumni to share on social media about an individual who helped them succeed at Marquette.

The university continues to raise funds for its $750 million “Time to Rise” campaign, which has surpassed $500 million in pledged gifts so far.
