Budget provision could clear Couture

The state budget approved this morning by the Joint Finance Committee, the powerful budget-writing committee of the state Legislature, includes a provision that establishes the Lake Michigan shoreline in Milwaukee. The measure is an attempt to end a dispute about development rights for the Downtown Transit Center site, located southwest of Lincoln Memorial Drive and Michigan Street.

MATC to expand into former Everest College building

MSOE to purchase downtown Staybridge Suites building

The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) announced today that is has a contract to purchase the mostly vacant and half-built Staybridge Suites building at 1150 N. Water St. in downtown Milwaukee.

Kenosha site for Aurora cancer center sold for $1.75 million

Kenosha Healthcare Properties LLC, a subsidiary of Appleton-based The Boldt Company, recently purchased an 11.4-acre site near I-94 and Highway 50 in Kenosha for $1.747 million. Boldt plans to build a $31 million, 61,082-square-foot complex on the site for Aurora Health Care for use as a cancer treatment and a pain management and ophthalmology center.
